I am drawn to subjects that make me stop and look—a classic car catching the afternoon light, a quiet Colorado landscape, an animal with a strong presence, or an ordinary moment that suddenly feels worth remembering.

 

I work primarily in oil, combining realism with expressive brushwork. Accuracy matters to me, but I don't want my paintings to simply reproduce a photograph. I want the brushstrokes to remain visible and the painting to have movement, texture, and life. Light, color, atmosphere, and strong shapes are often what first connect me to a subject.

 

Classic cars have become an important part of my work. I see them as more than machines. Their designs carry personality, history, and memories. At the same time, I continue to explore landscapes, animals, people, and everyday scenes. Although the subjects may change, I am always looking for character, atmosphere, and a sense of presence.

 

 

My work continues to evolve as I study, experiment, and paint consistently. I don't want to force myself into one direction simply because it is familiar. I want to keep challenging myself, follow the subjects that genuinely inspire me, and allow my own visual language to develop naturally.

 

For me, every painting is another opportunity to observe more carefully, learn something new, and create something that can make another person stop and look too.
